Day 92 - A Cat and A Swift

lovely day

A welcome and productive day at home today.

With Spring seemingly sprung (although I still wouldn't bet against Winter showing its face with a last, late, cold blast), it was lovely to have a free day to get a few things done around the place.

Like watching the Australian Grand Prix, and the Finals of the CWIF Bouldering Competition!

;-)

But also mowing the lawns (see photo above!), weekly food shopping, a couple of loads of clothes washed and wind-dried, climbing gear sorted and stored, rock shoes cleaned, travel bags stowed up in the loft, and the last few months climbing photo's and video's sorted, renamed, and uploaded to my cloud backup storage.

The Grand Prix was interesting (but not in a climbing sense)...there've been many rule changes since last year, and the cars are now radically different.  I think it's quite an improvement, overall.  Whilst race management is seemingly much more complicated for the drivers, critically, the cars are also more skittish, and require better raw driving skills.  Could be a fun season.

The bouldering final was fun too...good competition with a nice twist at the end.  I won't spoil it, even though you've probably never heard of any of the competitors.

We got lots of nice photo's during a sunny afternoon, including this nicely framed pic of Maisie enjoying being outside.

The more observant amongst you will notice that I didn't take this one...the rest of you...pay attention!  :-p

I also quite like this one of Anna and Maisie (again, pay attention!).

All this, and the new climbing season is upon us...us being fair-weather climbers and all...

Good times!
